Job Description Summary:
Responsibilities include the development of new business with goals to increase and retain existing customer base and therefore must possess exceptional calling skills. Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and evaluating commercial loan requests. Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain loan information and documentation. Monitors and reviews construction and development loans. Maintains repossessed properties and assists in collections' activities. Serves borrowers and prospective borrowers promptly and professionally. Provides general Company information and cross sells services. Assists Commercial Loan personnel as needed.
Required Education, Experience, Skills:
Associate's degree in business or a related field required. Bachelor's degree in business management preferred. At least three years of progressively responsible experience in lending in a commercial bank environment and must have worked a minimum of three years in the local market with proven results. Experience in managing customer relationships and loan portfolios a must. Familiarity with loan documents, preparation, loan compliance and regulatory issues required. Commercial loan, real estate and origination background preferred. Qualified candidates must possess understanding of financial analysis and determination of credit worthiness. Knowledge of lending and collections programs, policies, and procedures and familiarity with property management and maintenance procedures. Position requires interaction with the public, necessitating professional interpersonal and excellent customer relation skills - as well as strong analytical and successful sales ability. Candidates must be able to provide independent analysis of complex and /or high profile credits to assess risk levels - making decisions on loan structure and terms, presenting such to loan committee. Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment.
